Principal’s Message
Thank you for your partnership throughout the 2024–2025 school year. It’s been an honor to continue building strong relationships with the students, staff, and families of Lynch. Every day this year has been a reminder of what makes this school community truly exceptional.
There’s nothing quite like the sound of students deeply engaged—learning, collaborating, and laughing alongside their peers and teachers. Just as powerful are the quiet moments: when a student shows empathy, encourages a classmate, or simply chooses kindness during a tough day. These moments, both big and small, happen every day at Lynch, and they speak volumes about the strength and character of our kids.
We’re proud of the work our students have done and the growth they’ve shown—not just academically, but socially and emotionally. And that growth is possible because of the genuine connection between home and school. There is something special about the Lynch community, and we are committed to continuing that partnership and building on the trust that’s been established.
The last school day of the year is Thursday, June 12th, with a 12:25 PM dismissal. Just like our usual Wednesday early release schedule, all end-of-day routines—pick-up, transportation, etc.—will run three hours earlier than normal. Report cards will be shared through ParentVUE, just like they were at the end of first semester.
Looking ahead: the first day of the 2025–2026 school year is Tuesday, September 2nd. All back-to-school information will be shared via ParentSquare in August. This will include your child’s teacher assignment and welcome letter, school supply list, student and family handbooks, and other important updates. Please make sure your ParentSquare account is active and that your contact information is up to date. If you need any help with ParentSquare, our main office is ready to support you—we’re just a phone call or visit away.
If there’s anything we can do to support your family over the summer, please don’t hesitate to reach out. We’re also grateful to those who completed the Family and Student Experience Survey in early May. Your feedback is important and helps guide how we continue to grow as a school.
Enjoy the summer ahead. We’ll miss the energy and joy your students bring each day, and we’re already looking forward to seeing them back in our classrooms, hallways, gym, and playground in September.
With gratitude and pride,
|

Grief Camp for Kids - Camp Sunrise
Hospice of Redmond is delighted to announce the return of our free three-day overnight camp for 2025! This year, Camp Sunrise will be held for children ages 7-12 from June 20th to June 22nd at Suttle Lake Camp. Camp Sunrise will also offer a day-long Teen Grief Retreat, open for teens ages 13-17, on June 21st at Suttle Lake Camp.
Attendees can live anywhere in Central Oregon and do not need to be grieving a loss from the previous year. Attendees may be grieving the loss of a parent, friend, classmate, pet, grandparent, or sibling. Hospice of Redmond does not put limitations on the type of grief a person may be experiencing.
Camp Sunrise is founded on the understanding that every child and teen deserves the opportunity to grieve in a safe, supportive, and understanding environment. With loving support, children and teens grieving a death can share their experiences with acceptance as they move through the healing process. The children’s program will have structured games, music, art, stories, and other therapies to teach bereaved campers about grief and how to understand their feelings. The teen program will have some of these elements woven into a mature program with age-specific topics based on teens’ unique needs. We are pleased to offer our campers support from a professional, trained staff and volunteers.

In keeping with our efforts to go more paperless, student report cards have been loaded into ParentVue (through synergy). To view your child's final report card starting on June 13th at 4pm, please follow these steps: Login to ParentVue then View Report Card

-Stay Healthy, practice good hygiene by keeping yourself clean and germ free.
-Stay Energized, eat nutritious meals and snacks daily. Include food from these groups: dairy, grains, proteins, vegetables and fruits.

| Are You on Parent Square? |
|
In an effort to limit as much paper as possible, most of our communication is going home via Parent Square. Starting with the beginning of next school year, your child's teacher, welcome letter, school supply list, handbooks, etc... will be posted to Parent Square. If you are a Parent or Guardian of a student here at Lynch, we highly recommend adding Parent Square to your phone and/or computer to make sure you are up to date on all the things happening here at school. Here are step by step instructions to get you started:

Field Day 2025 - Monday, June 9th
9:30 -11:30 Grades 3- 5 12:30 -2:30 Grades K-2
Field Day has a variety of booths and snacks available to celebrate the end of another awesome year at Lynch. This year we will be bringing back the unlimited game bracelet for $20, but have added that it will include a hot dog meal (hot dog, chips, drink) and two treats (choices are: ice cream, sno cones, cotton candy). If you choose not to buy a bracelet, booth/game tickets can be purchased for 25¢ each (this helps cover the cost of our prizes, inflatables and treats). Food tickets are 50¢ and will be available to purchase food items if desired. (Food booth will be offering hotdogs, chips, cotton candy, snow cones, and ice cream).
Approved volunteers are welcome to attend this fun-filled day. Please call the office to confirm you are cleared and to schedule your time to work. All students need to dress for summer fun (NO swimsuits please!) Students need to wear sunscreen and bring extra clothes if they plan to participate in water activities (we have approx. 6) . It is recommended to bring a small bag/backpack to keep your child's extra clothes, prizes, etc. safe during the event. We are planning the best carnival yet! We have inflatable attractions again this year that are incredible. Please come join in the fun!!
Online sales for bracelets only will begin Tuesday, May 27th and will close Friday, June 6th. Bracelets and tickets will be sold in person June 5-9th. We encourage buying bracelets/tickets early to maximize your child’s time at Field Day. Pre-sale bracelet/tickets will be handed out the morning of the event.

We are so grateful to many of you who have volunteered throughout the school year. Your help goes beyond sacrifice of time. School teachers and staff have less weight to carry and the students are elated to have family there at school with them. If you can help at one more grand event for the school it will be on field day, Monday June 9th…they can use any help they get at all the fun stations for the kids to enjoy. Have a great summer and we look forward to more Lynch Lion Pride with you this fall.

My name is Kat Rains and I am the FoodCorps service member here at Lynch! In addition to FoodCorps, I am so thrilled to be the artist in residence at Lynch this spring! Garden club has started which means we are busy beautifying our garden space with lots of art projects, and planting lots of starts in the greenhouse to get ready for the last frost!
“Our school year is wrapping up but our garden is just getting started! Garden club and many classes have helped plant starts, seeds and help embellish our space. See the photos of our experimental 'onion tower’, our beaded wishes hanging on the new bean trellis, and students taking care of our new starts. If you are interested in checking in on the garden over the summer (and having a chance to harvest!) please contact me at katherine.rains@redmondschools.org or 704-999-4331!"
