Hello incoming kindergarten families!

We are excited to have you begin the journey toward kindergarten for Fall 2026. Starting kindergarten is an important milestone for both children and families. It marks the beginning of new friendships, new learning experiences, and many opportunities for growth. 

This information applies to ALL schools:

What to bring for registration at the Event:
1. Birth certificate
2. Immunization record
3. Proof of address
Children must be 5 on or before Sept. 1st, 2025 to register

Across our district, each elementary school will be hosting a Kindergarten Welcome Event. These events give families the opportunity to meet staff, tour the school, learn about the kindergarten program, and ask any questions you may have. We encourage you to attend the event at your child’s future school.

Here are the upcoming kindergarten events:

John Tuck Elementary – Welcome to Kindergarten
Date: Thursday, April 30
Time: 5:00 PM – 6:00 PM
Location: John Tuck Elementary
Staff will be available from 4:00 PM – 5:00 PM to assist with registration, document drop-off, and questions.

Lynch Elementary – Kindergarten Welcome Event
Date: Wednesday, May 6
Time: 4:00 PM – 5:00 PM
Location: Lynch Elementary
Families can meet the principal, counselor, teachers, and support staff, tour the school, register their child, and learn more about the kindergarten program.

Sage Elementary – Step Into Sage
Date: Thursday, May 21
Time: 5:30 PM – 6:30 PM
Location: Sage Elementary
Families will meet the kindergarten team, tour the school building, see and tour a school bus, and receive learning materials to help children get started. Incoming kindergarten students will spend part of the event with school staff while parents or guardians attend a separate session. Siblings must stay with a parent or guardian.

Terrebonne Community School – Kindergarten Cub Day
Date: Tuesday, May 12
Time: 2:00 PM - 3:00 PM
Location: Terrebonne Community School
Families can tour the school, meet the teachers, and learn more about the kindergarten program.

Tom McCall Elementary – Kindergarten Kick Start
Date: Thursday, May 21
Time: 4:30 PM – 6:00 PM
Location: Tom McCall Elementary
Families can connect with kindergarten teachers, meet the registrar and principal, ask questions, and learn about kindergarten expectations and how to prepare for the school year. Cookies and juice will be provided.

Tumalo Community School – Kindergarten Open House
Date: Wednesday, May 20
Time: 4:30 PM – 5:30 PM
Location: Tumalo School 
Families can meet school staff, tour the school, ask questions, and register their student.

Vern Patrick Elementary – Kindergarten Registration and Open House
Date: Thursday, May 14, 2026
Time: 5:00 PM – 6:00 PM
Location:  Vern Patrick
Families will meet kindergarten teachers, the principal, and office staff, ask questions about the kindergarten program, and connect with the Parent Teacher Club and Champions After School Program. Refreshments will be provided, and families who register will receive a free Vern Patrick t-shirt and book while supplies last.
