Welcome to Kindergarten!

Posted Date: 08/28/26 (09:55 AM)

The kindergarten team of Lynch Elementary hopes you had a fun-filled summer! We have so many fun and engaging things planned for this coming school year!  We can’t wait to partner with you as we begin your child’s educational journey here at MA Lynch Elementary.

We will begin the year with something we like to call “Camp Kindergarten!” Your child will come for one day the week of 9/8-9/10 for an abbreviated day, 9:30-1:30, along with ⅓ of the other Kindergarten students. Our office staff is happy to help you get signed up for one of the Camp Kinder days, just give us a call (541) 923-4876 starting August 26th.

This day will be filled with fun as the kids get to know all four kindergarten teachers while we spend time in each classroom. This is also a time that we will conduct initial assessments. After we have met all our new friends, the teachers will place the kids in balanced classrooms. You will receive a call on Friday, Sept. 11th, from your child’s teacher with the good news.

At M.A. Lynch, we like to hit the ground running! We will start full-day kindergarten with all of our new friends on Monday, September 14th. You are welcome to walk your kiddo into their new classroom on this first official day of school.

A young woman smiles outdoors with blooming trees and green grass in the background. My name is Molly Gray and I am thrilled to be welcoming your students to Kindergarten this year! This will be my second year at Lynch, and my first year in Kinder!

I grew up in the small town of Scappoose, OR and graduated from the University of Idaho with my Bachelors in Elementary Education, including a focus in Teaching Literacy.

Outside of the classroom, you will likely find me barrel racing on my horse BB, playing with my two pups, or on the hunt for the best coffee shop in Central Oregon!

A woman with curly red hair smiles broadly, wearing a wide-brimmed straw hat and a black top.I grew up in Redmond, Oregon and attended Lynch Elementary as a child.  After graduating from Redmond High School, I attended Portland State University and earned a B.A. in Social Science, a minor in Sociology, and a Master’s degree in teaching. This will be my 17th year of teaching and my 12th year teaching at Lynch! In my spare time, I love to read, listen to podcasts, watch movies, and paint with watercolor.

A man with glasses and a bucket hat smiles broadly at the camera. I am a Central Oregon native. I graduated from RHS many MANY years ago. I love the sunshine and beauty of the High Desert. I just celebrated my 28th wedding anniversary and I have two amazing         kids. Mason is a sophomore at Southern Oregon University, and Asher will be a 11th grader this year and currently on exchange in Thailand!

I graduated from OSU-Cascades with a Bachelors in Human Development. I stayed at OSU to earn my Masters of Teaching. This will be my 11th year teaching Kindergarten. I love this grade level! The        kids are so sweet and eager to learn. For a teacher it is exciting because I get to see “light bulb moments” everyday as the kids learn and discover something new.

I really look forward to meeting my new kindergarten family!

Warmly,

Your Kindergarten Team
